Show off your Peas!

Here is one of OEGB mama and her one day old chick:
Seeing this makes me sad. The hen looks like my favorite one my mom accidently sold yesterday. She thought it was a different one

PEGGY arrived at 10am this morning , he came for a ride with New2peafowl (Suzy and Dan.

Well breeding season is over. My wild peacock finished molting, counted, and arranged the feathers. Still waiting for my breeding IB Colbolt to be done. It looks like he only has 1 or 2 feathers but not sure. Hopefully tomorrow I will have all of Colbolt's feathers so I can compare length, quantity, and quality.

119 Ocellies.

1000
27 Swallow Tails.

1000
49 Sickle feathers.

A total of 195 train feathers. They are about 5 feet long.

I got a vase to hold some feathers that way I can keep the feathers separate.

IB family picture. I was finally able to get a picture of this and I love the photo.

Very nice pictures Birdrain, but I'll see your 119 Ocellies and raise you 120.

Wow! Is that all from one male? In the future I hope to have a farm and have more peafowl and more varieties. Set up a peafowl business in South Dakota.

Not all from one male, that was a 120 pc. lot, I sold to someone for floral arrangements. They wanted all large eyes so I had to use feathers from several birds and include a dollar bill for scale so they could see that the eyes were big. Customers!!!!
