Is that good for birds if they are pecking in the compos I read they could get fungus deseases by doing this
If the compost was in the ferminting process then yes it would be bad for them.
I compost things for at least a year before i use them , like when we grind a big stump we will place a ben around the shavings and pile grass clipping over the top and i mean 1000, of pounds of clippings over the summer, then i turn it with my tractor every time i am in that area after a year what you see on the trailor is what it looks like, no smell just sweet dirt.
thanks for the concern, it is a valid one, some folks might not know tyour welcome thanks for explaining the whole composs process
Hi, i am ZAZ and i love pictures so when ya got time please post some photos of you pretties so we can watch them growI just joined as a new member today and LOVE this place already
We live on a 40 ac farm in NW Missouri. We have the assorted chickens, Guineas, and Bourbon Red turks. Both of us just love the fowl and and have always in conversation added peafowl to our wish list. Low and behold we found 3 IB peachicks on Craiglist. After further research the same day we found a HUGE breeding facility 1 hour from our home. That little trip added 4 Spaldings to the farmstead. The 4 Spaldings are 18 weeks old and the 3 IB are 9 weeks old .
We are LOVING these beautiful little babies!!
I have enjoyed each and every picture on this Tread and will be a frequent visitor![]()
