HELP ME MAKE SOME YUM!!!
I'm looking or a good brownie recipe, like grandma would make, in other words with real ingredients & from scratch. Anybody got a good one??? :pop
Let me see if I can find the one we made growing up...

Brownies

2 stick Butter or Margarine
2 cups Sugar
4 Eggs
2 teaspoon Vanilla
1½ cup Flour
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Cocoa
1 teaspoon Baking Powder

Preheat oven to 350°. Melt butter with sugar and mix well. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to sugar mixture. Spoon into a greased 9”x 13” x 2” pan and bake 30-35 minutes until brownies just begin to pull from sides of pan. Cool to room temperature upright in pan on a wire rack. Cut into squares and serve.

Reduce temperature by 25° for a glass pan.

The recipe is very basic. You can add a couple of teaspoons of espresso powder, a cup of chopped nuts and or a cup of chocolate chips to this recipe

That is a good recipe and is similar to the basic recipe. I make this one too!

The DW does not like the chocolate chips in it though

Do you add the espresso powder to yours Ron? It really does seem to punch up the chocolate flavor (IMO).

Yes! I add espresso to most chocolate cake recipes. I also use sugar that has vanilla beans infused in it.

Simple tricks that add lots of flavor

I like to use White corn, but flour works also.
