Homemade cornbread. I used white cornmeal for a change. We had some warm with butter

It's hard to beat cornbread fresh out of the oven!

Beautiful! I haven't been on in a while, I haven't got anything to post. I've spent my day searching for the perfect rescue dog with no luck.

So I just found out my little farm is in the direct path of the tropical storm in the gulf. It's going to hit Wednesday. Looks like I've got a little bit of hurricane prep to do. This time last year we went a week without power. We are literally the end of the line. First to lose power and last to get it back. I'll be cooking a few pots of soup and stew to have on hand and plenty of charcoal for the grill.
