SHOW OFF YOUR YUM! Food Photography Thread

Lol yep, I'm starting to get an idea about what you meant yesterday :p
I love cooking with my wife and sometimes we take pictures during that. Looking forward to sharing them with others with the same passion. :)
I wish I'd be a bigger baker so I could join @N F C in her thread too. Unfortunately I'm not at all

Not much baking goes on here either. Welcome to the thread! :frow

@Farmer Connie saw this cooooool thread since you commented on one of mine! Love this idea and it's made me realize I'm a super nerd who likes taking pics of my food as much as my chicks lol! So here goes! In these pics there are taco soup (an easy fave!), shrimp and corn bisque (my personal favorite), ghoulash, roast and potatoes with sautéed mushrooms, wild rice, bacon wrapped asparagus, & garlic butter rolls, pan seared pork chops w/ pasta (instant sufe-cheat) and baked Brussels sprouts with honey and red pepper flakes, Cajun (think it had shrimp too)pasta with chicken, pink "pupcakes" for my daughter's class, homemade hand batteredchicken strips w/ rice and gravy (didn't turn out so great this day but tasted ok) and honey glazed carrots, from scratch chicken and dumplings, blt on toasted white wheat with a fried egg layed by one of my girls, and finally a one oan meal with shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn!

Lots of yum there! :drool

The husband made the best dang soup of my entire life. He did it in a Crockpot. It's on the second day and is even better today. Beef, carrots, celery, onion, this and that herbs, veggie broth, and a dry bean mixture of some kind. Not really a beef stew.

And so good with his homemade toaster oven rolls. He doesn't have the patience to swing a hammer for more than two seconds, but he cooks like a marvel. I'm thinking about keeping him.
Sounds delicious!

Last night was leftover Eggplant and Seafood Au Gratin. I only had one serving of linguini left so Deb got that and I ate mine on toast.

I kinda wondered why you weren't using the Food Saver, out of bags explains it.
We got into a little financial crisis when our spent grains supply went dry for about a month. Feeding 8 adult swine and 15 offspring out of pocket with straight conventional grain, took away a few HUMAN luxuries. The grain train started back up but the effects from the lapse still present.
Needless to say my shopping list is growing longer. We have tons of basic necessities but little things like Food Saver rolls are scarce. On top of holding funds to the side for processing a couple livestocks later this month.
It's like this most every Winter. Come on Spring!

Sounds yum-a-licious! Pixs?
Welcome to the photo thread :wee
When we crock pot, we try too bulk, so we can enjoy it at a much later date as well. As cold as it has been, hot soup make your belly warm and content.
Thanks for sharing. Thanks for joining the fun

OMG.... WARNING! YUM OVER LOAD! I must now look away before I have to eat something to recover from the wonderful dishes you prepared:lau
Welcome and thanks for sharing.
ALL looks great and tasty.. Can you expand a lil on the taco soup. I am the type that,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, If ever held captive as a POW, could easily be broken with chili and related foods,,,,:drool :gig:lau

We made Sushi from scratch a while back. It was quite the experience although I'm not the biggest Sushi fan myself...

Only do sushi once in a great while. It depends where and who makes it. Not crazy about it but it has been remarkable once or twice. Have to be in the mood for something like that. The last time was when me and the other half stayed for 4 days on a mini vacation in St. Augustine. Your pics look really good. You must have practice.
And then we get to Mike!:p
Of course your leftovers could look so scrumptious..:gig
You have set the bar so high that I am on the edge of my seat wondering what your contest photos would be like. Since non contest photos have me drooling:drool.
Bravo!
I have to retrieve the pics from the camera yet before I post last night's concoction. Fooling around on the tablet right now trying to warm back up. Was 30° this morning during feeding. Hosing out buckets froze my finger tips. I am sitting close to the fireplace right now lol. Us Floridians don't like this Jack Frost stuff:th.
I'll show off our yum shortly.
THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!:clap
