SHOW OFF YOUR YUM! Food Photography Thread

Hang in there! Be safe. FILL UP YOUR GAS TANKS. Fill you bath tub with water. You'll be in my thoughts & prayers.:hugs
Thanks!!! Generator is gassed and ready. Vehicles are full with extra cans for back up. Water, food, and charcoal are ready. Even got hurricane straps on the deer stands. We're as ready as we can be. I'm finishing up the laundry just incase we go a few days without power. I don't a mountain to do later on.

Michael is bolting up the coast line. It beat the cold front. If the storm was slower, the front would have pushed it over the center of Fl. We are in a Tornado watch mode until tonight.
YOU ARE IN THE PATH! Please listen to the weather warnings.
Irma whacked us bad. This is what adds "insult to injury", so add these to your prep list please.
  1. 30 weight oil for your generator. No matter how new your unit is it can consume oil and burn up from constant use.
  2. You can never have enough gas. We lost power for 7 days. OMG- the generator powering or freezers drank enough to fill a tanker. Plus gas stations will need power to pump & SELL OUT FAST-& mile long lines only to get your turn & find yellow bags over the pump nozzles.
  3. water for livestock!
  4. move your cars away from trees! Tall Georgia Pines are like dominoes.
  5. Have rations for at least 4-5 days. We live rural, all exits of our area had collapsed trees and power poles blocking us in. You might be trapped like we were.
  6. Cell Towers go down. Find a landline telephone that doesn't need power. Cordless landlines need power to operate the base. A retro style "plug in & spiral cord" phone is priceless during a disaster. MOST phone utilities are under ground these days. Service is more reliable than cellular.
  7. Propane or charcoal grill ready to go. Flash lights/candles, batter powered weather radio.
Just please take care! Watch out for those PINE TREES!
BE Prepared... :hugs
