And I am doing hamburger helper :gig:confused:
I love that.. I like to use that as a base and add fixin's. Extra this.. extra that. Chunks of ham or cheese chicken or celery or carrots or what ever needs to get used up.. One time we topped it with stove top stuffing and broiled it long enough to crust the bread. Endless possibilities.

Yum er rific!
Our jambalaya is a little bit more tomato saucy. But basically the same dish with a smoked cabasa sausage, diced onions, green peppers, shrimp, chunks of mahi mahi fish and serve on top of the rice. Sauce consist of the diced vegetables with stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce. Worcestershire sauce, Bullard's hot sauce, onion powder white pepper and various other spices.
I Appreciate the colors and the texture difference in yours. Very delicious looking there mr. Mike. I believe we are making a pan of lasagna tonight. But your photograph has me craving jambalya now. Shame on you..

That was the first time I made it that way. I came across an "express" recipe, i.e. quick and easy and it was. lol. That recipe was only give 2 stars by the dishwasher. So probably will go back to the other jambalaya recipes I have.

Interesting. What all is in this dish?

2 kiwis per serving
1 banana per serving
1/2 red bell pepper per serving (original recipe calls for 1/4 cup per serving, I didn't have any plan for the rest, so just went with 1/2 pepper each)
handful of cashews
some sliced mint

dressing for two servings

lime juice from one lime
tablespoon evoo
minced shallot, about a tablespoon
2 teaspoons rice vinegar
teaspoon of honey
a little salt
some cayenne pepper

We have never sliced sugar snap peas before. That is why I guessed Bell Pepper. We usually Blanch SS Peas whole.

Blue= shallots I was a million mikes away. Makes since to use dijon mustard with shallots introduced to the theme. Both are rich tasting.
After zooming in on the photo, I was able to see the salt & pepper..
