Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

I will be trying that recipe next time!

Last week was a total cheater meal with Swedish Meatballs from Ikea, frozen veggies and a gravy packet but the mashed potatoes were made from scratch!

Cup-a-Soup for lunch on a cold rainy day:

It was a super busy week getting ready for my daughter's 8th birthday party with family. We had an amazing BBQ spread but I forgot to take photos before it was all gobbled up:

• homemade pico de gallo and tortilla chips
• cocktail shrimp
• cheese, crackers & salami
• BBQ chicken and a rack of pork ribs
• cornbread muffins
• green salad with all the toppings
• baked beans
• broccoli-cauliflower salad
• corn on the cob
• watermelon, cantaloupe and grapes
• cherry chip cake
• chocolate cupcakes and M&M cookies

My mom baked the cake the night before and I decorated it in a rush right before everyone arrived.

So what did you see?
I saw a grumpy poodle just like Bullchick. My daughter saw a mad cloud about to rain.

Oh yes, it's totally winking!

This was lunch,, couple of meatballs cut in half, and topped with Sweet Baby Rays' BBQ sauce
In the center are some Pita Chips for crunch.

Dinner,, Baked potato, Meatball cut in half, and Buckwheat. All covered over with some CHILI. not home-made,,, but still

Bacon and egg pizza. I suddenly realized that I have about five dozen chicken eggs.

You probably have a slice or two leftover for tomorrows breakfast.
How do you intend to heat it,,,,,,,,, Iron skillet to preserve the crispy crust???
