We had crab cakes tonight with the Hasselback potatoes (shared by @FortCluck) and some blackened Cajun brussel sprouts. A nice remoulade sauce for the crab cakes. It isn’t very pretty but it was very good!

Crab cakes are always pretty (and pretty good to eat too)!

I would make homemade french fries :barnie
Just thought I would ask you,,,, since you have used the AIR FRYER.
We don't have one,,,, but would consider one. We do our French American fries in the oven. Does the Airfryer do same, but more convenient??? and how do you prepare your Home-made potatoes before using Airfryer?
We do have a DEEP FRYER for about 20+years, and it is still in box:gig(new, and unused).... Need to donate it to someone that uses such.

We did have something, I think was similar. Called Turbo Pizza Oven,,, or something. :idunno,, It was long ago, and it went thru recycling already. It did do pizzas quicker than conventional oven. That unit was more specialized for pizzas at that time. Used it when camping and wanted frozen pizzas done at campground that had electricity available.
Let me know all the different things you made in an Airfryer.:)

The air fryer to me is much better because it makes it a lot crispier and you don't have to use a lot of oil, you don't have to use any oil at all actually.

I usually cut them up the way we want them, sometimes we do a regular french fry cut, wedge cut, diced cut... There are a million ways you can cut a potato to make fries.

After I cut them I put them in cold water for about an hour. I then dry them off and put them in a bowl. I toss them with usually a tablespoon to 2 tbsp of oil then I add the seasonings that I want.

I put them in the air fryer basket and there's usually a setting on the air fryers that say fries. You hit that and then you wait about halfway through the time and then you toss them a little bit in the basket so that everything gets cooked evenly.
