BTW, if you just want to know how to bake it to put your own marinara sauce on it or something like that. You can cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, and bake it at 350 for 60-90 min depending on the size of the squash. I poke a fork in it to know when it's done. Should be soft.

I have recently read that if you can't cut your squash in half (any squash), you can actually bake it whole and slice it afterward. I would poke some holes in it with a sharp knife. I haven't tried this.

Does anyone have any recipes or advice on cooking a spaghetti squash?

I only have coconut oil because I ran out of olive oil yesterday, but I should have everything else that it would require.

I cook spaghetti squash pretty much as Val said in post #20836. I just cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, flip it into a baking dish (cut side down), add about 1/4" of water and bake until fork tender.

I cut mine in half and I scooped out everything (I gave the stuff I scooped out to the chickens and ducks)

I rubbed the inside with oil. I sprinkled pepper, paprika, Creole seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder.

I will see how it turns out I almost forgot that I had the spaghetti squash...

I also have a butternut squash and I am not sure how to cook that...

I went squash crazy when I went grocery shopping!

I cut mine in half and toss a dab of butter along with salt & pepper and bake it until tender. Some like to sweeten it up with brown sugar too. We prefer it non-sweet.

One year we way over-planted all kinds of squash in our FL garden. We ate squash by the bushel! But really enjoyed it and it is good for you!

That sounds very good! Let us know how it turns out. And of course give the seeds to the chickens!!

They went mental over the seeds and stringy stuff that came out of the middle.

I'm probably going to buy more spaghetti squash when I go to the store again because it smells so good right now and it only has been cooking for about 15 minutes.

I'm probably just going to sprinkle nutritional yeast on it and eat it plain.

I'm going to make homemade marinara next time so that I can put it on it with some nutritional yeast sprinkled on top.
