I decided to toss everything together, and make a dip minus the cream cheese (to make it healthier).

Those look amazing!
Good way to use up eggs. I'm going to try it with quesadillas tooThose look amazing!I would eat that for dinner in a heartbeat!
I don't actually have a standard recipe I use because I change it up all the time. In fact, I just use Duck Duck Go and look up a recipe each time. I might say "Ketchup free bbq sauce recipe", like this one, and or "sugar free bbq sauce recipe", like this one, depending on what kind of a dinner I'm making and for whom. Here's one for a spicy bbq sauce, and here's one for a very simple recipe. You'll find they are all very similar, with a little more of this or that to get that special taste you're looking for. Also, it's such a forgiving sauce to make, you can substitute anything and just taste as you go until you get what you want. Add pineapple for sweetness? Why not?I don't do any canning right now, but if you have a recipe for barbecue sauce I'd be willing to try it.
I feel your pain! I get 1 or 2 eggs a day right now!!! I guess my ladies need a break. My store has two models. Not a hard choice.
I have not seen an egg in weeks!
I honestly thought that we were going to go down to no eggs but so far it's been about 4 a day. I don't know if that will continue though.I feel your pain! I get 1 or 2 eggs a day right now!!! I guess my ladies need a break.
This is the first year I didn't supplement light for them. So, they are definitely taking a break. Maybe February they will pick back up.I honestly thought that we were going to go down to no eggs but so far it's been about 4 a day. I don't know if that will continue though.
We do have to go look in our yard this weekend though to see if there are some eggs out there and I'm sure that somebody has a nest.
I don't use supplemental lighting so I'm not sure why mine haven't stopped. It's the Delaware, Red Sex Links, and the white cochin. They're my top layers. A RSL stopped laying two days ago but started laying again today. Sid was being a super hormonal cockerel and picking on her, but he hasn't in a few days. I think he's over his hormonal rage fits. This is the first year I didn't supplement light for them. So, they are definitely taking a break.
