Elderberry syrup. There’s a cinnamon stick and a few slices of ginger in there too.

Finished syrup has about 1.5 cups honey and 1 cup vodka added to the liquid from the pot. I had purple hands and nasty looking fingernails last night after squeezing all the juice out of the “stuff” in there.

I’ve read that a lot but my family never made it that way, always savory instead. My grandson and I were talking about making breakfast tacos with the leftovers.
