I made scotch eggs for the 1st time this week! I don't have an air fryer, but I shallow fried the outside to get them a little brown, then baked them in the oven for a further 20 mins. Didn't turn out too badI’m watching whatever comes on YouTube while I’m reading the news. An air fryer recipe for scotch eggs came on. With chicken eggs, she baked them @390* for 12 minutes. Using bantam or quail eggs, I’d start with 8 minutes.
I have 8 pullets (they're 7 months) - we are averaging 6 a day from them at the moment.I have one pullet giving me eggs now and then (hopefully she and her hatch mates keep me in eggs until the hens start up in a month), but you’re getting enough eggs to “use up?”
Ah Thanks! My husband did a grand job on it, though I do wish we had roofed it some more. We had a couple of feet of snow in December, and it was a big ol' mess. Hopefully you'll get some more eggs soon. One of our pullets started laying at 19 weeks, and the rest have slowly caught up. The most we've had in a day is 7 eggs.Mine are 7 mos too. I’m still jealous. Go to the state thread, and show off your run. It’s awesome!!
