Sorry, didn't get a pic before I froze it, but I made Cream of Mushroom soup.

16 oz sliced mushrooms plus half a bag of dehydrated Monterey style mushrooms. I suggest you chop these

A chopped onion and several cloves of garlic smashed and chopped, I used half a head or so
About 4 T butter but bacon grease might taste good too
4 T flour, plus 2 T for cream
4 c chicken or vegetable broth
1 c each whole milk and heavy cream

I put the dried mushrooms in warm stock and let sit about half an hour. Meanwhile, saute the onion in butter until soft, then add the garlic and saute until the onions are lightly browned. Add the mushrooms and cook until mostly soft but still a little firm. Stir in 4 T flour until butter is absorbed, then add broth with rehydrated mushrooms and stir until slightly thickened.
Mix 2 T flour with cream and milk, stir into broth and veggies and bring to desired consistency stirring often. Add salt and pepper to taste.

I like this with a chopped kale salad I can get at Kroger here. Hubs likes a warm piece of sourdough with butter too.

ETA The dehydrated mushrooms really enhance this soup and give depth when I can only find regular sliced mushrooms in the store.

pork can't be slow cooked. red meat/chicken yes. call me.. I can maybe stir you back on the crock pot map from uncharted waters. Or is it too late?

I think that can depend on the cut of pork. Loin roasts have come out beautifully for me if the fat on top is thick enough. I cook it when I'm home though so I can turn down the temp and keep it on low for the last part of cooking.
