So far we have apple pie, even the crust is from scratch by my husband. He's making the crust for the pumpkin pie now. I made cornbread for the dressing.

Pumpkin pie. The recipe I use fills a deep dish pie plate and two small ramekins, dessert tonight. I always get a few pie pumpkins in October to boil and freeze for pie and cake during the holidays. So much better than canned. Haven't managed to grow my own yet, bugs or heat have killed them.
 
Last night I made a simple sandwich treat.
Started with off with ground Berkshire pork. This particular Batch of meat contains the entire piggy. Loin, belly, chops etc. Everything but rib meat.
Not considered sausage as much as ground pork.

Sauteed onions in a pan with unsalted butter.

Shortly after added Worcester sauce to caramelize the contents.
Added the ground pork, browned it and added some flavor. Along with a container of homemade plum tomatoes sauce thawed from the ice box.

Gave just a little kick of heat.. not too much. This stuff is dangerous.

I swapped out the used fry oil in the deep fryer.. it's seen better days. Added a premium cooking oil and dropped in a bunch of ARBY'S curly fries. Fresh oil makes a difference. a tremendous taste difference.
Toasted some burger buns with a garlic butter spread. Lightly sprinkle some New York extra sharp cheese. Add a pickle wedge and time to eat..
