SHOW OFF YOUR YUM! Food Photography Thread

I’m going to look into that. Thanks for the tip. We are calculating our savings by making our own yogurt after spending $20 for one weeks worth. :hmm
I think I spent $20 for the starter cultures, but it's a pack of 4 kinds. I think I went through half a gallon of milk a week, plus fruit but it's way cheaper than buying already made.

My understanding is,,,,,,,,,,,, You can just buy store yogurt, and use some in your milk as starter. I have experimented with idea years ago.
I do make some farmers cheese occasionally. Mexican version is Queso Fresco. Mine tastes same, but I do not press as long, so it is softer texture. I use Sour Cream as my initial starter. Then I just use a quantity of my soured milk for next batch. Oh yes, the soured milk needs to be warmed slowly so it curdles. Then into a cheese cloth and pressing. I only do it during Summer since it needs warm ambient temps. Tried during winter and bacteria just would not grow at 70 degrees. I don't have setup equipment to provide the ideal temps like 90 degrees needed for rapid bacterial growth.

I have yum pics but really tired... got whooped today..
I promise to be refreshed and bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning..

Did you make your own curry?

No, I haven't done that, but really isn't any different than making a rub so maybe some day.

Where are your recipes? Lol. Yum!

Cookbooks, note cards, internet, in my head, call mom, if mom doesn't answer call sister and maybe she'll have the recipe I'm thinking of, make up on the fly based on ingredients leftover from other meals.
