We are having artichokes, burger patties and applesauce for dinner. I've cut the chokes in half and putting them in the pressure cooker tonight. My dad said he tried them tgat way and it worked great, eating them is less messy too. Pics later...

Hey, I have one of those in my basement! It was my dad's.View attachment 1418153 Shhh I remember![]()
That is what my dad used it for! He was also a scout. I don't know if he used one then, but he camped a lot (took us along too).![]()
I still have mine that I purchased in the previous Century/millennium. Would only use to cook potted meals and COFFEE at camp. Also have the newer propane versions. When we were at Boyscout Camp outs, we needed plenty of cooking stoves to feed the many HUNGRY YOUTHS.
It came from the internet but when I was a kid we had one identicalWow. That is 1/4 century old if not older. That model uses lantern fluid. We had one. The fluid ate all the paint off of the fuel tank. I think it had a hand pump too. We have the modern version of this now. It is more compact and uses propane. It was our stove top for a week when Irma took out our power grid. Still 15+ yrs old. Your pic might be 3o+ yrs old? Is that yours or is it swiped off the internet?
Please forgive me. I didn’t take dinner pictures. After I finished dishes (and found that I still have mice), Duckling did laundry.

It’s more “awe!“ than View attachment 1418458 but I doubt you mind. It makes me want to eat her up!
