We also eat grits,,,, but never had it with cheese. Usually with fresh fruit, or frozen fruit.

We were hungry so had to resort to these afterwards,,,

Cheese grits = life!!! Hahaha it's the only way I eat them. Also..... When you eat as much fish as we do, I have to buy my favorite breading by the pound.... 5.75 lbs that is

Cheese grits = life!!!
Hub made corn grits creole style like at the last restaurant.
  • butter
  • water
  • bring to boil
  • add grits
  • reduce heat
  • constant whisk stir
  • add creole seasoning
  • add heavy cream
  • at last minute when desired consistency is achieved-
  • add cheddar and Monterrey jack cheese.

-same stuff but spread on a buttered baking sheet and chill over night in the fridge.
Next day, cut into small squares and deep fry them. Absolutely delicious.
I will see if I can get him to write down the portions. Although I think it will be a monster size batch and will have to do a little math to reduce the yield.
