SHOW OFF YOUR YUM! Food Photography Thread

Cast-iron Cathead biscuits
2 cups self rising flour
⅔ cup shortening
½ cup buttermilk (I make mine with whole milk and a splash vinegar)
A big spoonfull of sugar.

*Preheat oven to 450°F
*Whisk or sift flour and sugar.
*cut shortening into flour until it is crumbly
*add buttermilk
*with floured hands pat out biscuits.
*bake for 15 minutes or until done.

This is my base recipe. I add blueberries sometimes. This morning I added strawberries and a drop lemon extract. I don't measure the add ins. I just add until I like the way it looks. The extract is added to my milk. The fruit is added as I'm patting out each biscuit.

Dinner was a combination plate,, Baked beans from can:confused: but soo :drool. Zucchini from store, :confused: still tasty, quick fried and topped/tossed with buttered toasted bread crumbs. Meatloaf,:drool:drool:drool DW made a large one. Will be having it for a few more servings. The Lil Red pepper,,,,,,,,,, there to keep my taste-buds active. :wee
