Am doing sourdough this morning also but do it in loaves

I usually make rounds but will make one round and one loaf today to mix things up!

I've seen recipes for them but haven't tried making them.

To me they look a lot like what we call English muffins:

Are they different?

Muffins are more like a bread cake. They MUST be eaten hot!

I love crumpets! I like mine with butter and strawberry jam best. Or a fried egg on top with a runny yolk and some crispy jowl bacon

Nice Bread! I am making whole wheat loaf bread and sourdough this morning.

Wheat bread is stretchy and elastic

My sourdough is on it's first rise ... need to clean coops in between

sourdough is in the proofer for first rise. The loaf bread goes into the oven in about 15 minutes.

I am sweeping and mopping. I will tackle yard work after lunch
