SHOW OFF YOUR YUM! Food Photography Thread

I stopped it, and layed it down, but it just jumped right back up!

Sounds like you're making gingerbread. :lau

Have you guys seen the show Tidying Up on Netflix? My DD was watching it & I was kinda rolling my eyes, but it got in my head I guess because I've been purging stuff like crazy. "If you pick it up & it doesn't inspire joy, get rid of it."

I find myself tossing things when I watch hoarders!

I've only seen one episode of Tiding Up so far, but it was a normal house with just too much stuff that they didn't need taking up space. I don't know if further episodes will get more into hoarder situations or not.

Maybe hire one of those organizers and moving companies that are featured on the hoarders show!

Ugh, can't stand those shows...they give me the willies!

A lot of our stuff is stuff we use, but this house is sooooo small it has no place to put much away. If I have to get rid of things it will be like trying to figure out if an item is something I use 3 times a year vs. something I use 4 times a year.

I got rid of a ton of things when moving from FL to WY. And some of those things we've had to re-purchase (like some of DH's tools). That's not fun.

There was this lady at work who had a workstation that was so messy it almost gave me a panic attack when she asked me for help. No joke. I wouldn't ever be a hoarder, it would kill me I think. My husband is another story.

I tend to hang on to things people have given me because I don't want to hurt their feelings. Sometimes things have no use and there's no place to put it so I just move it from one place to another when it's in the way. It gets tiresome and then I hate the thing!

I've been purging since last year though, slowly going through stuff and if I haven't used it since the last cycle, it's out this year. If I go too fast hubs will notice and have a cow

Stealth purging :gig

An Uncle by marriage had a brother that lived in a Hoarder house. I don't know if it was him or the wife but it was a scary place to walk through.

I have an adult cousin, an adult niece & an ex-BF's mother who were hoarders. Its absolutely bizarre. My sister says its the freakiest thing. Just trying to put her clothes away or throw out empty food wrappers sends her into an emotional spiral. I'm praying none of my kids caught that gene.

One of our lecturers was like that with her office here. It took a long time and a lot of work to get her office cleaned out when she retired.

I had to move a bunch of junk one time to replace her printer and workstation
