So posted this will again had hamburger/sausage burgers homemade onion rings and tator tots
Onion Ring Batter
Ingredients


2 large onions, cut into rings

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cornbread flour
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 egg
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt

vegetable oil for frying

Directions

1. Soak onion rings in a bowl of ice water for 1 hour; drain and pat dry with paper towels.
2. Whisk 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour, milk, egg, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, and salt together in a bowl until smooth.
3. Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
4. Dip onion rings in the batter, working in batches, until evenly coated and arrange in 1 layer on a plate.

  1. Fry the battered onion rings, working in batches, until browned, about 5 minutes. Transfer fried onion rings to a paper towel-lined plate using a slotted spoon.View attachment 1782194View attachment 1782195
Now to get some sweet onions!
 
The quail eggs are getting their shells rubberized, and the chorizo is defrosted. I plan on making Scotch eggs soon.

Now is not the time to remember that as much as I don’t like sausage, I like chorizo less. :lol: I think I’ll be adding cheddar somewhere.

I don't like chorizo either.
 
hotdogs no wraps tonight with baked beans and devilish eggs
still do the dogs in the oven convection 42, 13 minutes but they stay hot
when you take them out turn once time in the oven I use parchment
on the cookie sheet

Duckling helped peel eggs. :love
:lau She left a pile of uneaten yolks, and told me to leave the rest of the eggs in the bowl when I finish peeling them. She will eat them later. I said I would do what I had planned with them. She said that works too. She helped me make 7 (she ate a dozen whites!) jalapeño pickled eggs. :lol:

What a Character!
 
I baked them @450* for twenty minutes. Assuming I make them again, I’ll be sure they get better coverage. Perhaps the problem is that I dumped them off the plate instead of placing them in the pan.
