I can't tell the difference between trees either, mainly because I'm used to seeing them torn down and almost dead.

See, my town got hit by a major ice storm several years ago. It was so bad, my house lost power for two weeks. My parents had to buy a generator, which was hard to come by, as plenty of other people needed one as well.
tongue.png
The ice and snow was so heavy, that branches broke off of all of our trees and we were afraid that they'd never grow back. My siblings and I were never allowed to go by any of the trees in our yard becaue of the breaking branches.

And that is why all of the trees in my aunts woods look dead or dieing.

Whew! Sounds like an adventure

Are you in the northern States? There's been news about the snowstorms up there.

We have power cuts all the time. Usually though they're because someone's overloaded the grid.
lol.png

I live in the middle-ish.

Missouri is always getting really really weird weather. Sometimes its blistering hot, and sometimes its freezing cold.
roll.png
I might get some snow this year, and I might not. Depends on what blows through.

*Sigh* It'd be awesome to get snow here. I almost got a white Christmas last year, but it came a bit late...

Well there's a -100 chance of getting a white Christmas here. Temperatures usually reach 40*C in mid-December

Although things have beencooling down recently since 2009, we don't get as many heat waves nowadays. I suppose this is reverse global warming, or wahtever they're talking about

Its prerry much the same here. Occasionly we shall get a flurry of snow, but normally Winter just brings dead grass and blistering winds.

That, and cold fingers. Gosh I hate it when my fingers are cold and I'm trying to play piano.

Yeah, I used to have the same problem back when I played the piano. Practise time would almost be over by the time the darn things warmed up

Normally summer brings blistering dust clouds and dead grass. Siriusly, ]i]nothing[/i] by way of ground-height vegetation can survive summer here

I've been looking for some nice gloves that I could wear while playing piano, that wouldn't harm my flexibility. So far, nothing.

I used to wear gloves all the time
tongue.png
Those big fluffy lumpy ones that are nice and stretchy. I didn't really mind if I got the notes wrong, I was just committing the pieces to memory for exams most of the time

I tried wearing some gloves while playing piano once. It was great for glissando's, but it got tricky when I tried playing my advanced piece of chopsticks....

People always used to tell me my hand posture was never correct for piano playing.
I quit though, music used to bore me to death, my parents were so pushy

I love music! I've been playing for about six years now.

Yet I only learned how to play chopsticks about a month ago.

I played piano for five years... gee, started when I was 6, I still remember my first lessons

Then I played flute until I was 13.
After that I kinda started developing subject preferences.

I've never heard of Chopsticks
