So I have been having troubles with my duck Lukas, he recently got Bumblefoot a few days ago and I'm starting to get worried he's getting worse.

He hasn't been eating very well these few days, he will just nibble but never swallow even if it's soft foods. He has very runny and very water green poop. He has a hard time walking and keeping balance. And he is getting very thin.

We have him niacin pills but supposedly they where a dietary supplement?

They didn't have that flush notice on them but I'm not unsure what to do.

He is only a few months old and I don't want to loose him so quickly.

I tried putting an antibiotic cream on his infected foot. And I don't have any vets that work on ducks where I live.

He hasn't been outside where there was a chance he could have gotton hurt 20191201_195220.jpg 20191201_195125.jpg
Please help me asap I don't wanna loose my little buddy

I would try treating for cocci and worms. Cocci will make them very weak fast. Use corid to treat. 10cc per a gallon of the 9.6 solution liquid. You can get it at TSC or fleet farm. Also large animal vet clinics.

He hasn’t been outside on the ground at all? Does he live in your home? Could he have picked something up off the floor and ate it? Metal, coins etc? Ducklings will pick up anything just about an try an eat. Tell us what your feeding him including treats. And post pics of his poop @casportpony is our poop specialist. He looks like he isn’t feeling good poor baby.

My local feed store had it too. Could you take a better picture of his foot? He looks awfully little to have real Bumblefoot. Do you feel the hard kernel? For his foot, you could soak him in some Epsom salts for relief. Just make sure he doesn’t drink the water, it causes diarrhea. Put him in a bucket, or, since he’s so little, maybe just a small plastic container. Have you tried any vit BComplex? When I’ve had sick ducks, I was given the advice to get that at TS...it’s in the cattle section...don’t inject it into duck. Put one mm into a treat, over meal worms, or even in water since he’s not eating much.
