Sign of the times ...and How did they know?

Still baffled why a PU truck pulled in yesterday and added a broken lawn chair to it's load of other assorted junk, but today (the trash service is a day behind because of the holiday) today...I put out a broken vacuum cleaner and it took all of 15 mins before a truck sped off with it....what the heck??? Have to admit I am a bit puzzled.
mind you I don't care a bit that they took it....but why?

I wanted to call out "ITS BROKEN! HELLO!" oy!
