I'm just on a different side of the fence than you are~ I believe in tolerance and acceptance as much as the next person, I want to be tolerated and accepted too though, and it's kinda hard somedays in this country. And i'm never against religion, as long as they preach tolerance and not hate~ I've just seen many Christians who have forgotten that they're supposed to "love thy neighbor as thyself".

I understand. Believe me, there are many christians that rub me the wrong way and I have issues with the hierarchy of my own catholic religion but when it comes down to it, us knuckle dragging humans are imperfect in many many ways. You cannot fault the religion for that. It up to those of us with some good sense (no matter what the belief structure) to set a good example for our faiths. Unfortunately, there will always be bad apples who think they are better than everyone else.

Believe me, there are many christians that rub me the wrong way and I have issues with the hierarchy of my own catholic religion but when it comes down to it, us knuckle dragging humans are imperfect in many many ways. *hugs all around* Thank you everyone for staying adult and mature about this discussion! I love you all, no matter how much our beliefs differ! I'm glad I can live in a place where they're ALLOWED to anyways!
And I'm glad for BYC, where all us non-believin' and believin' folk can come together and express ourselves in intelligent ways without being hackled for it~
