silkie chick biting and hissing

Help! my silkie chick (naked neck) is a biter! She also hisses at me when I try to pet her. Are these roo traits I'm seeing? I got her and her (hopefully) sister 3 weeks ago, and am trying to tame them. They were estimated to be about 8-10 weeks when I got them. But the naked neck is pretty aggressive. She freaks out when I try to pick her up, and while petting her she bites at me and hisses! She even looks angry! lol

Some chicks just don't like to be held or messed with.

Leave it to them to decide whether they want to come to you.

Could be roo traits, but be sure to be gentle with her. You should give her some time and don’t push her being held.
