oh the first fifteen didnt make it past day seven, most of them hadnt even started growing.

THANK'S i will give her a chance i would say some should be any day big chicks and yolk was about dried up.

21 day's seems like a lifetime when you are waiting for those chicks to get out of there.

I went into lockdown last night! Did my final candle and all 12 of the silkies look good, a couple had a larger than I would like to see air cell but all had moving chicks. Of my mutt eggs 11 of the 12 still looked good, one brown egg didn't have a moving chick and it looked a little small in there so I am thinking it was a late quitter - was moving at last candle. Hopefully I will have some chicks soon! I always seem to loose more silkies than one that make it out of the shell, of course that was always with shipped eggs so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

All you experienced silkie hatchers, do you normally have to help them out of their shells?
