Awww.....they are SO darn cute!! ❤ Look at the floofs and fuzzy feet....I am in love!! What a great hatch, glad they are all doing so well! Do you have weekends off from work? Hopefully you can spend some time with them. Thanks for including me in on this hatching adventure!

I typically have the weekends off, but after all that happened this week... I might be required to come in for a bit this weekend. I'll know in about an hour. I have so many plans to get things done this weekend so I hope I can stay home and attempt to get my to-do's done without getting completely stuck watching the chicks all day I have a western saddle to replace the stirrup leathers on, two bikes we are almost done with, and my car started acting up last week and I need time to troubleshoot it too. And the chicks, and regular chores. Hmm, the big bosses have been telling me to delegate more, maybe I can delegate to my team to come onsite

Yes, delegate delegate DELEGATE!! You need time at home to get absolutely nothing done this weekend while watching chick TV! Funny, it's so hard to stop staring into the brooder. Hours go by and there we stand, oogling the babies. Well I do hope you don't have to work too long this weekend. I really enjoyed tagging along here, I got to live vicariously through you since I am not hatching at this time! Now I can't wait to watch them grow up!! ❤

Yes, delegate delegate DELEGATE!! You need time at home to get absolutely nothing done this weekend while watching chick TV! Funny, it's so hard to stop staring into the brooder. Yes, the chicks are mesmerizing, time just disappears around them

I'm so curious about colors now. The dark Pen 2 chick, I sent a photo to the guy I got the eggs from and he said it's likely a blue or black split to chocolate, and a cockerel. My husband is now claiming all the blue chicks and all the "pretty colored" chicks, he said my friend can only have the plain ones. I think they are some splash and probably light blue ones. We'll see in a few weeks!

I saw one had 2 curled toes so we taped that up tonight. I hope it fixes it quickly.

Yes I see lots of fun colors there, glad your hubby is getting so involved, at least in the keeping of them. I will also be excited to see their adult plumage, this is part of the fun when breeding and hatching!

Good call on the curled toes. Sometimes it's genetic, it can be caused by temp fluctuations or low humidity at hatch time. Sometimes they are in a bad position at hatch time too. Usually taping up the feet does fix it.

Well... at work today, hopefully just a few hours, the silkies were totally crashed out when we left. So adorable!

I gave the curled toe chick a little drop of rooster booster last night and again this morning. I put some in the water for all of them over night, then dumped it out and gave plain water for today.

Curled toes can be caused by vitamin deficiencies from the parents too, so the rooster booster is an excellent idea! Good probiotics as well. Hurry home and get back to your babies!
