Now that I've discovered this thread and have (hopefully) 5 silkies hatching today, I can't wait to go back through this and see if I can figure out my babies! How much was the dna test per bird? What company did you go through? Last time I had silkie chicks it took a full six months for my last cockerel to crow. (And I had 3 out of 3 silkies be boys!! Only my showgirl was a girl.) I'm thinking I'll test them this time! Thanks!

I used sexadodeaves.com as they have bulk pricing for it. It was honestly quite reasonable...I think something like $4 a bird. The trade off is you have to wait a while, since the mail is kind of slow to get to Spain at the moment because of the pandemic. But once they got my samples I had results within a week.
