Feathered shanks is what I think you are referring to. The SOP calls for both sexes to be feathered to the middle toe.

Actually I think the first white silkie might be a pullet.

I only think so because she has a very small comb and wattles for her age and I've even seen a pullet at that age with bigger wattles!
