silkie sexing

Hi all.....we have a bearded Silkie almost 10 weeks and because of it's comb we were thinking maybe a roo. However, I see a lot of other silkies same age or so with some color in the comb...often pinkish or purplish red. he's bearded so no wattles to speak of. Just wondering if some boys end up having no reddish color on their combs or is this a sign he may be a she? Thanks!!!

I think he's a roo.

Sure...here you go. Thanks for the feedback. Is it a normal thing for these guys to not have any color in their comb? He looks different than the 2 smaller ones we have so I was guessing he is a roo. Bummer...he's really pretty

This silkie is near 8 months old, was sold as a lady but I suspect he is a boy by looks. He doesnt really act like a roo (no crowing etc) but he is the boss! I have caught him sitting on an egg for nearly a whole day as well but I have heard that sometimes roos will sit on eggs?

Almost 8 months?! He does look like a roo, but at the same time he looks like a pullet...
Can you get a pic of his comb?

this the prob we have, he stands like a roo, has the swept back head fluff, sleeker feathers, but small comb (its the same as the girls but they are fluffy with pom pom heads) he is the boss, but doesnt crow or really act roosterly. He also sat on an egg :p but I havent physically seen him lay one. He is the only one with blue cheeks. He/ she has confused me!
