I have to admit, when my White Rock, Poof, went broody this past summer, I taunted her something awful.
I took the eggs from her every morning, pulled her off the nest, closed her out of the coop and everything else, it was just too darned hot for her to be sitting in a nest box full of hay in July brooding air.
I honestly got a huge kick out of taking her off the nest and carrying her outside because she griped the whole way and she walked around all puffed up complaining ALL DAY at anyone that would listen. None of the birds could get within 5 feet of her or she was snappin' and crankin'.
She was adorable.
She never once tried to bite me, either.
