My biggest Chinese white silkie roo, SnuggleBug, next to a 5 gallon bucket.

Here's his daughter. She's just about the same size as her dad.

Where did you get your birds? I got mine from Cackle, and they seemed good enough, until I found a blackish-blue feather on one of my buff's legs...

I got crappy ones from Ideal. I only kept 3 hens and upon close inspection the one is missing toes, and the lavender had huge pigment holes on her feet. All 3 aren't the best looking birds or a good representation of the breed.

My others are the offspring from breeders who show. Shipped eggs are awful but i did get a pair of really nice birds.

i raised 4 silkies from 3 days old and i rescued a silkie that was a few months old and boo hoo they all turned out to be cockerels....i was so heart broken to learn i did not get one hen.....but they are soooooo cute, and now heart broken cause i have to re home them all, we are not allowed to have roosters where i live....

As you know, I've publicly had a dislike for my Siklies. I still think they are...

"Looks like a dust mop"
"Too hard to maintain"
"Dumber than rocks"
"0 predator awareness"
And oh, so much more.

But...
I'll go ahead and publicly admit, I like my Siklies now. It only took a few months, but they've grown on me a ton this last week. They are hilarious when they jump and run. I mean, is that really chest bumping their doing or is it more like an "AHHH, You scared me!" kind of jump? No other bird here is that silly, and it makes them hard to not like.
