We have a for sure keeper! Thumbelina the porcelain D’Uccle is our lil baby boy and he’ll be my number 1 forever lol. Silkie chicks are just so cute and tempting thoughhhhhh… Technically we’re not allowed any, but they’re not enforcing it and our neighbours have had one for years. 19 is just a few too many

Late night pondering… If you had three white silkies, one black, and two blue, what colour roo would you keep? White or blue? The white might have a faulted skull if he’s the one I think he was as a baby. Blue is not as poofy and very submissive to the very dominant white male

I'm not even telling how many I have after just 2 years, but half of what I have are bantams or silkies, so they only count for half a bird, so the number is actually less, unless you figure in chicken math.

I try to keep my numbers under 20.
2 coops/runs:
Smaller one with 4 large fowl.
Larger one with 14 bantams and smaller birds, including 8 Silkies and 3 Silkie crosses.
Upcoming chicks do not count according to chicken math. Also I understand any bird with a name does not count either towards the total, so technically I have 0 birds.
