Not the chicken if you want it for laying purposes. But when they do lay , their eggs are perfect for bite size pickled or deviled eggs! The eggs mine lay are half the size of a large egg but the yolk / albumen ratio is about even making them rich and tasty. The pros of having mine is because they are fluffy and cute. They are the sweetest and very friendly. That is really the only reason I have them. But some people eat them and use them to hatch out eggs, even eggs that belong to other chickens. Having said that, they go broody often. When they get broody they want to hatch eggs rather than lay eggs and that's the reason I only keep a few for eye candy purposes only. But I do love them regardless. Sadly they are picked on often by my larger egg producing hens and are at the bottom of the totem pole. Some times because they won't move out of the nesting box and sometimes because I think the bigger ones are jealous of their cuteness! Ha,ha!
