Ide go with the 15$ ones

The ducklings are out of their show quality pairings. They say to order 2-3 ducklings for every desired show quality duckling. IMO it costs just as much feed to feed a show quality duck as it does a lower quality one so why not go with the better quality. When they do get recognized you will be that much further ahead of the game by starting off with the best quality birds you can. With any pairing you will not get all show quality ducklings and most people realize this

and on top of that, just because it is "Show Quality" doesn't mean it will automatically win at a show. It may be a very nice bird, but if someone else has a bird there that is better than yours then they will take 1st.

what I'm trying to get at is that if your looking for the best quality ducks you can buy from holderread then you should go with the show quality ones and if you are just looking for pets or a backyard flock and need to stay on budget then the $15 ones are the ones for you. Not saying their can't be some really nice birds out of the $15 ones because there very well could be a nice one pop out. It's all the luck of the genetics.

I wanted to take a moment to share some pictures of the silkies I got from Holderread this year. I've got a couple more adults coming tomorrow from them, but these are the ducklings I got. They couldn't fill the entire order of show Quality ones so I ended up with 4 of the breeding quality but they are blue fawns so a nice color to work with. Anyway here they are.

These are so pretty! For some reason, I pictured silkie ducks being fluffier - more like a silkie chicken.

Waiting to see pics of the new ones!
