Silly Silkies - My Babes

It hasn't been very long with these silly babies, but I have had so much fun with them! I had to give away a white roo because he was attacking our other one, and I lost a black showgirl to a raccoon. The losses were really hard and I miss them so much, but the babes I have now are beautiful and living their best lives. I decided to take some pretty pictures today, and I really hope you guys like them. There's only two, and that's all I have, but they are such sweet babies!

So sorry for your losses. Your silkies are gorgeous. I raise them too but not the naked necks. I just can't get used to those but still they are so neat. You take awesome pictures!

They're still doing well! I planted some Chick's Mix for my babies in some pots and it's growing quite well! I'm excited to put it in the coop. It's a really healthy mix for them, but they can't eat the straight up seeds. I love the mix, the chickens loved it last time, and it helps with a lot of nutrients for the eggs.

The first one and the last one are Peanut, the last one is her on my shoulder, and the middle ones are Cookie, and the one with him on the roof is where he loves to sit.

Peanut looks cute! ❤ Some Silkies need to have the hair cut away from their eyes. They can become dehydrated and malnourished because they can't see. Easy predators targets if they don't see well too. Great job on the trim!

Yeah, before I did it I had to show him where the water was and keep the rooster away just so she could drink.
