Silver Laced Wyandotte Wattle

Hi,

A little while back my slw cockerel cut his wattle. I put neo on it, and it scabbed over. I havent put it on for a few days. I checked it this afternoon, and there was a hard bump near the scab on his wattle. What is it? What can i do to treat it??

Ok, I could not get a pic. the scab is a black brown line, and sideways to the scab is the bump. It seems to be inside the wattle. And is sorta hard. I put pressure on it, and my roo did not react. I dont know wat to do!

It could be scar tissue or maybe a pus filled pocket. I'd say as long as your roo is acting ok and you keep an eye on the bump I'd leave it alone.

did u ever find out what it was?? my rooster has the same thing.. I confirned that it was a pus filled pocket and squeesed some pus out. Should i take him to the vet to get it cleared or did yours clear by itself?
