New to keeping these but loved them after I had a hen from a friend.. So I bought a trio from breeder who was giving up to concentrate on other birds.
All well, hatching and I got a few single comb, so culled once I was told it was a throw back, but now I have a cockerel growing on and it does not look like the parent bird.
I have sent a pic to the chap I bought them off, but just curious to know if this is normal or is it an oddity that I should cull out. I know genetic can be weird in the lines from crossing but as I intend to sell eggs/birds I wanted to be sure of what I had and how often this might occur.
Thanks
