Oh goodness, I don't know....  rereading his post, it could be?  He was talking about a split blackshoulder split midnight in the previous series of posts, and I have no clue about which WE genes.  I assume he means double factor, plain WE, but I am guessing.

Perhaps we need to ask for clarification?  And I am so not clear on what bird he is breeding to... I just assumed he was asking what would be the genetic contribution from this single parent.

The linguistic issues are challenging.  I've been almost in tears after spending a bunch of time getting something right and then losing a long post...  sounds stupid, but it's really frustrating when it eats something that takes a long time to write correctly, and my French is about 30 years out of date.

Et connaissez-vous s'elle soit WE avec un ou deux gènes pour WE ? c'est un gène ce qui se montre même si un gène seulement, mais on le voit un peu different. Et puis connaissez-vous si son gène WE peut-être le gène variant se qui c'est derivé du silver pied? Ou est-ce le gène WE normal?

Thank you. Is the peahen midnight or split to midnight? And do you know whether she has WE with one or two WE genes? It's a gene that is visible even if only one gene is present, but we see it a little differently. And do you know whether the hen's WE gene could be the variant WE gene that is derived from silver pied? Or is it the normal WE gene.

Is the male peafowl split or not split? And does he carry the WE gene?

The breeder in the US told me only that this peahen was midnight white-eyed, split blackshoulder. Consider (assume) that she has the ordinary WE (double factor), not the special (variant) WE
