The candle is very soothing.

Your pictures are fantastic.

Where do you get them?
Having an espresso and look what wandered up to the porch…yard isnt even in yet and I have company:). For context…I moved here 6 months ago and am putting the finishing touches on the house and the builder still has the latrine in the front yard:sick.

Have a blessed day everyone.

I use to live in the mountains.

My husband and I really miss it.

Indeed it is! I moved from the suburbs and have never looked back. Not that the suburbs are bad….but the peace and serenity I have here is good for the body and the soul.

I now live in the flatlands of Florida.

Sure do miss the peace and serenity.

Sure…really easy.
- 1# noodles…gram made her own but I use either extra wide or Kluski noodles.
- Head of regular cabbage
- A medium onion
Salt pepper to taste.

Boil pasta and set aside. Dice onion and chop cabbage to just bigger than Cole slaw size. Sauté in crisco until translucent and the cabbage begins to brown a bit. Enough crisco to sauté but not swim in. Yep crisco….no butter for this one. Season the cabbage to taste before adding noodles. Easier to season.

mix together and heat through for a bout 15 minutes for flavor to get into pasta. Keep an eye on it or it will stick to the pan. Those stuck bits are my favorite though.

really easy peasant food that goes well with pulled pork, kielbasa, smoked sausage. I remember my grandma rolling pasta on what I thought was a HUGE TABLE. everything is bigger when you’re 5 yo:).
Hope you enjoy. Again, very basic, but some of the best memories were.
