Tillie shows off her flying ability by flying across the yard to get treats to get there before those other *losers* that have to run lol
She also tried to climb a ladder to the roof, once- they’re really something!
That's a leghorn. They recognize no boundaries. 🤣

I broke one a couple of months ago! I sure hope it doesn’t hurt! And the repair is fast and not too expensive!

I saw my dentist today.

The tooth finally came completely out Saturday night and the pain was gone immediately.

I have an appointment tomorrow to have the root extracted.

Good morning, everyone! It's sunnier today, but I'm feeling a bit under the weather. I'm going to clean the coop today.

Hope you get to feeling better real soon.

I love it but I can only handle a small bowl of it, after a bit the butter gets to me,,

When we make we put a small amount of butter in with some seasoning salt and we find it is not to salty or over buttered.

Out. Of. Popcorn. My mind boggles at the idea of such a thing!

We can be out of bread. We can be out of eggs. But not popcorn! :pop

I agree with you.

When it is on sale I'll buy extra and put them in the freezer.

Oh, that's why! Here's how I get around that... I use an air popper, and eat it plain. No butter, no salt. I'm a bit of a popcorn purist. A big bowl, all for me. I have it for dinner about once a week.

I love popcorn as a meal.

I like to melt the butter to dip the popcorn in and put parmesan cheese on it with the seasoning salt.
I hope they can easily fix the tooth. :hugs

We'll see.

I'd be happy to oblige! I have some pre-molt photos as well:

The one in my profile pic is much better quality because it was taken with a real camera- the rest used a phone.

She is beautiful.

The Leghorns-
https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/leghorns-have-been-the-easiest-chickens.1254494/
White LH's - I dont thin the word flighty is the right word- I think they are very aware of their surroundings,
Brown LH's - 4 of the 6 come right up to me and want to stand under my feet and dont mind if I pick them up
Red LH's- Very friendly, but very small
They all do fine in the run & coop. As with all kids, board kids fight- over crowded kids fight- I try and keep my run clean so they have good spots to dig/ dust bath- I give them greens to scratch and peck at at least twice a month, it keeps them busy.
My run is prefect for 8 max chickens. I really do have to many for my space I think. knowing that I take extra care to make things work. All of this rain has been hard on them, their routine is off. But, all 15 are doing well at managing each other. We do have nesting box fights, but I had that when there were just 6 hens.

The original 2018 white leghorns 6, started laying at 22 weeks, they all got along great, They were a true tribe. In 2020 I got 15 and a Rooster. I gave 11 to my son and kept 4 & the rooster. The 2018 seamed to like the new 2020 chicks ok. I didnt have any bed time roosting fights. The new chicks got up on the root at night at 3 or 4 weeks old.

I have one of the 2018 hens left, Granny Violet, she is the one below with the floppiest comb. The other 4 are the 2020 hens

The 2020 4 White Leghorns were so less tolerant of the 2021 10 new chicks. Things are better now but only in the last 3 weeks. I feel it is due to the new 10 are starting to lay eggs. Now even though they are Brown and Red Leghorns I do thong that because they look different it makes a difference. They all 2018 - 2021 like to fly across the run, sometimes crashing into the run gate. One of the 2018 6 would try to sleep/roost on the light cord up in the celling. The all are power diggers, more than the Austrolop s/p and Buff Orpingtons I had.

They all seam to do ok'ish on the roosts- I think they would like another one.
