I Love you sister Frankiegirl!!!! I love that you are getting it all done,
Right back at you lady!❤️ There is a lot of inspiration here, just trying to follow in the footsteps of amazing people🥰
I got dinner/supper all done and over, DH is off to work,
Just went out to the coop and checked for more eggs,
I know one got broke and eaten when I was out there at 1pm,, bummer,, if it get broke they eat it

So, 3:15 and the sun is lowering, these last few dark days are a killer, the hens go to bed at 4:30 & even the dogs go up to bed at 6pm
Only a few more weeks and we get light back. That’s the good news!
Clearly... you need to hire someone to plow....

Or buy a walk behind snow blower.

Just how long is your driveway?
Driveway is 600 feet from the road and gravel. Had a plow service but they quit due to the job shortage caused by covid…I have a walk behind so if push comes to shove. I used to travel for my job but have been working from home since march 2020. Crazy to think of that now almost 2 years later. I will succeed with the driveway or die trying👍.

One of these days I will get back on the road. Until then…life is good and if it snows too much, I will get more exercise doing the driveway a few times.

Porchers good afternoon one and all!

The temperature is 63 and sunny.

Hubby and I worked out in the garage for over four hours with our yard girl and made a big dent in cleaning it.

Have a great day!
Awesome!

I wrote that reference and assembled a new comfy chair. Got the car fixed too and caught up on my emails. Did a couple of house chores too.

Today I'll be writing through the morning then going to Bunnings (it's a little like TSC) for a misting system for the chicken run (need to get installed before summer heat sets in). Then I'm due at work for a long meeting this evening with folks from Singapore and England.

The forecast is 28C (82F) and sunny.

Haven't had a cuppa yet, I don't want to get out of this amazingly comfy chair...

I am not in a very chatty mood,
I have been informed that it costs more to have chickens than just buying eggs, that it is way to much work, that building a coop is going to cost a lot of money with the price of building supplies,
that you could buy a whole pallet of dried eggs for all that money,,,,

I need to go read and pray and , work on my current attitude,
You all keep on chatting and visiting,
The porch stays open,

I'm sorry that has happened. Chickens are also very good at reducing bugs and weeds and at providing fertiliser.

Oh I am sorry to hear that your new home will not include chickens…I will pray that you find your way home and in the in process a path may present itself that offers you the comfort that these little creatures provide. Things can often seem overwhelming when you are making a move as I recently experienced that.

There is a large expense when you are constructing a new coop. That is true. I have found they offer me not only a tasty snack, but an opportunity to connect with nature and in a way to the spirit of the earth. I have saved money on therapy and the ladies keep all my secrets🥰. If there is any possibility to create a temporary coop that allows you keep your flock, I hope you will be able to do that.

I am sorry if I am adding stress to the decision to not have them moving forward. I simply want to offer a couple of ways my ladies enrich my life in a way that makes the expense worth it.

Blessings to you Grandma over the holiday season and praying you find peace in your decision.

Good morning Everyone! In honor of @GrandmaDeKorte, I am on my third espresso of the morning. Opened a new bag of beans last night and they are a bit burnt…not every cup is yummy but I will gut through.

It is 28 degrees and cloudy here. Still a bit dark and will let the girls out shortly once there is a little more light in the sky. Hope the day brings joy to everyone.
