Well , its time. Sweep the walls down, add more sand to the floor, and,,,, then clean up the run- these hens are so good at digging up rocks

I find the eggs tend to crack while boiling and the white oozes out.
The trick for this method is to put the eggs in the water just before the water starts to boil. Even if the egg is cracked the outside of the egg will cook and trap the rest inside the egg. I don’t know about poking a hole in the egg first though.

BTW, I have two White Leghorn hens and three more in the grow out pen so I felt I could post in this thread.:D

I think we have a 🤔 paint sprayer somewhere - I need to repaint the inside of the coop, but I will wait until it warms up a bit more.
I have not painted the inside of my coop. In fact, I never considered it. Yours is much bigger than mine though. I do need to paint the roof again.

Your white leghorns are beautiful! I just got 5 leghorn chicks for the first time. I have other breeds but never had leghorns. I wanted the brown leghorn but with limited availability I decided to just get the white. After seeing yours I'm glad I did. I'm hoping to introduce my chicks to my broody silkie this evening. Well glad I happened on this thread of yours and encouraged by your beauties!:thumbsup

I have a link to a thread I started when these hens were just chicks -
