Leghorn Lover :hugs

I'm glad I found your thread. I just got my first Leghorn pullets this spring. I find them to be soooooo. . . . curious and adventurous! They are climbing the trees, getting on the top of the run (they scratch in the leaves on top of the run like treasure is to be found there!) and examining every nook and cranny! They are not as friendly as the rest of the flock, but they will get used to me pretty soon I'm sure! None of the other chickens went up the trees or anything close to that! They are 12 weeks old now.

They are soooo smart! My LH is a cuddle and loves to be held unless she’s busy bossing everyone around.

Leghorns are ( from what I have seen in mine) supper diggers-- I have had Australorp; Buff Orphingtons and Barred Rocks and these leghorns out dig them all--- I got them last May 31st - put them out in the coop when they were 2 weeks old and would let them have a bit of time out in the run DSCN1888.JPG They were so fun to watch
