I am sure you did a great job, it can be/get a bit messy hahahaToday I used some silicone to seal up seams in the new roof on my run. I was kind of in a sweat to get it done; we're going to get a pretty good rain tomorrow. So at least I'll be able to see if I missed some places.
I've never used a caulking gun before. My technique got better as I went along. I don't think the chickens mind about the (really) rough spots.![]()
I just did the same thing. The roof of my run is made up of the glass from old patio doors with pieces of old storm door glass over the same. Well I was tired of it dripping on my head so I caulked it all together.Today I used some silicone to seal up seams in the new roof on my run. Do you use a shade cloth in the summer? We bought polycarbonate panels that are slightly opaque; 83% light transmission. I will need something to cut the light more in the summer, I'm sure. But it'll be nice and bright in the winter!I just did the same thing. The roof of my run is made up of the glass from old patio doors with pieces of old storm door glass over the same. I do not. The tree keeps the run shaded in the summer and then in the winter the sun comes through. It works great.Do you use a shade cloth in the summer?
