Today I rigged up a new, more substantial nest box blocker to keep the pullets from sleeping there. Now I have to remember to put it in place every night and take it down every morning.

Anyone else want a cup of herb tea? It just sounds good right now.

I'm in for a cup. It sounds lovely.

Good Morning
The sun is up, its raining. I suppose it will be now off and on for the next 7 months.
Chickens and dogs got fed at 5:45. I hear quite a bit of "singing" from the coop. I only got 2 eggs yesterday so I think my white leghorns that skipped a day are back on the job. One seams to always be the lead singer, the others dont sing as much.
I have laundry to finish up, floors to mop, meals to cook same as you all, just everyday stuff.

Porchers good morning one and all!

Been relaxing this morning related to my busy day yesterday.

My new counter tops were installed yesterday.

The plumber is the stickler in all of this, they charged me $185.00 to disconnect the garbage disposal and water.

They wanted $225.00 an hour for him to wait until the sink was installed and to come back another day they want $395.00 to reconnect the garbage disposal and faucet.

I am going to try to find someone else to intall them.
