Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

Happy frigid morning all. Well, we're back to "normal".
-15f with -25f windchill "advisory". should get up to zero
today. Yesterday a town just to our west was officially the
coldest in the country, including Alaska, for the 2nd
day in a row. Aren't we special???

we are slated for rain here in San Diego sometime this week.... and its coming from the Arctic so the snow levels in our mountains will be down to 2000 feet.... Which will give me snow at my house.... I am at about 3100 feet. There is a potential of having about four inches of snow.... in the mountains. So I will get probably about two. the mountains are at around 5000 feet they usually scrape off most of the moisture before it gets home....

yea, for the moisture, right????

Quote: x2 - moisture, even the solid kind is good (as long as it doesn't break things)?

All good. Katees new shelter will see its first snow since it was built. The last big snow we had crushed her previous shelter..... Folded it up like a squished spider..... She wasnt living there at the time so whew. We got a foot of snow that time.... Gosh that was nine years ago.

Her new shelter is rated for two feet of snow and over a hundred MPH winds.
