Benadryl for the dog sounds like a bad idea, but if your vet signs of on it, go for it. I'm a bit skeptic about the product for human use as well, since it doesn't have human use approval here either. Not at least as a sleeping agent.

It is fine for dogs. It is what he recommended for snake bites. (Antihistamine and antibiotics).
Actually...I remember it being recommended also for bladder control on the older incontinent dogs.

We were at our Nursery this afternoon stacking fire wood, and one of the neighbors sent off a rocket that startled us all. It was so loud it set off another distant neighbor's car alarm.

They did not die. I did get more dog help than I needed with that fire wood though.
Maybe that was a good experience for her, we all survived and life went on.

Another year, another thousand cups of coffee.

The worst part of the new year's eve are our firework happy neighbors. The puppy freaks out with the garbage trucks. She is too big to fit in my shirt pocket, but that is where she thinks she belongs with loud noises.

Any suggestions on how to handle this evening?

We used to get my dog happy pills from the vet.... Kind of makes em a little drunk... and they sleep alot. She was one who would go through dry wall to get to a safe place....

Not approved in Finland? There is Benadryl over the counter for children here.

I personally dont care for it because most of it has alcahol in it. You Have to be careful and read the lables. At least for kids.

Happy New Year and all that.... we are STILL eating Christmas leftovers!!! How can it be New Years???

(actually, I must be too obviously poor, SO MANY people gave me their Christmas leftovers for my family to eat. Don't worry, it will all get eaten.... just wow.... ended up being loads of food.... it has been great actually!)

New years eve parties for me have been a bust Every one of them.... That and Valentines day..... Useless.

nope I watch the Rose Parade if I can in the morning... on TV and have my coffee.

The kid bought me a coffee toddy maker for christmas and I am waiting for it to be delivered....
